Scattered over the reserve in this wilderness area of outstanding natural beauty, the four self-catering Palala River cottages are all different and can accommodate couples looking for a romantic getaway to families after adventure and fun or groups of friends. All will enjoy the peace, beauty, wildlife, and opportunity to relax in comfortable, well-appointed lodges and excellent personal service. Some of our guests have returned over 30 times!

Situated near the banks of the beautiful Palala river with open views across to the hills. Guests may hear hippo, zebra and other wildlife from the lodge and may see a variety of wildlife from the garden. The main guest house sleeps 6, whilst the two additional rondavels sleep 2 guests each. Facilities include free WiFi and a swimming pool.

This camp of 3 rondavels is set in the riverine bush approximately 50 metres from the Palala river. Wildlife may wander through the camp and the birding along the river is excellent.

The most romantic and secluded stone and thatch cottage on the river. This private lodge is the perfect mix of stylish comfort and excellent facilities from which to explore and enjoy the bush.

Samia is a well presented wooden cabin, privately located in the beautiful Waterberg wilderness. Fully kitted kitchen, dining area and lounge with fireplace. The cottage has an external viewing deck & braai area.
There are a wealth of options available to Palala River Cottages guests to get the most out of the beautiful landscape and the wildlife on the reserve. You can choose to self-drive or hike and guided game drives and walks are subject to availability. There are mountain bikes to hire or perhaps you would like to choose a relaxing massage at your accommodation. Some simple meals can be booked in advance.
